We have had a serious dump of snow over the last weekend, which continued right through to this morning, so yesterday was one of those perfect powder days up on the slopes.
Ok so maybe ‘perfect’ was a little bit of an exaggeration, bright blue skies would have made it truly perfect. But the snow yesterday was just delightful.
Is there any better feeling than making fresh powder line on a bluebird morning??
We came down yesterday after exploring some new terrain with achy legs, tired bodies and smiles on our faces.
We actually headed over to Roc D’Enfer which is the area in the village of St Jean D’Aulps and while it’s not connected (you would need to drive/get the bus there) it is still included on a Portes Du Soleil lift pass.
This place is a bit of a hidden gem on a powder day, mainly because most people tend to stick with the larger Portes Du Soleil area so there are plenty of fresh tracks to be had over there.
So what is in store for the rest of the season??
Well who knows, as any brit that likes to talk about the weather we all know how unpredictable it can be, though it’s looking like the jet streams that were causing the extremely sunny weather over January and February have now shifted and are looking to bringing more snow throughout the month of March according to an article from Henry’s Avalanche Talk (check out there article here).
And this is great news for anyone looking to get in some late season snow, as the best could be yet to come, especially if we are to see a repeat of last season when it was still snowing in later April.
And even better news for you is that we still have availability for the remainder of the season with some really great prices to be had.
Sooooo CLICK HERE and submit an enquiry form to get a price for your preferred dates between now and the 23rd April.
