This last week has been a pretty full on at The Works HQ.
Our Staff members Charlotte and Rachel have been going through a full on initiation, which is still on going, ready for our big launch this Friday 9th December, as Morzine and Avoriaz officially open for the season.
Whilst it’s all serious work of course, one of the highlights has got to be the food.
I don’t know about you, but when staying in a catered chalet one of the most important parts is always the food right??
Freshly prepared ingredients all designed to delight the taste buds and fill a hungry belly after a long day on the slopes. Mmmmmmmm!!!!
I also have a little bit of a sweet tooth so the afternoon tea cake selection has defiantly been hitting the spot for me. though now I am looking forward to hitting the slopes this Friday before my pants start getting any tighter.
Charlotte and Rachel have really put the work in, as I’m sure you will appreciate their talents in the kitchen as much as we have, and we can’t wait for you to come and try it out for yourselves. You can see a selection of the amazing food that we have been tweaking and fine tuning all week long. You can also check out some of the cake recipes on Charlottes Blog.
With the resort officially opening this weekend there are a ton of activities starting we see the opening of the Christmas Markets, a Giant Fondue, Fashion Shows, Live Music and Sports Games and of course the lifts opening.
The snow that fell in November left a good base up in Avoriaz as it has remained cold and so the snow blowers have been on since then.
Exciting times as we see all of the work taken to get here, can now be enjoyed by our first guests!!!!
We will look forward to welcoming you too very soon.
We do still have some pre-Xmas availability if you are looking for some last minute early snow
We also have 2 rooms available for a New Year short break is £450pp 30th Dec-3rd Jan
